D. Mathias is responsible for the publication of this collection of sixteen of Wagner’s articles. They span the years 1968 to 1994, for most of which time Wagner taught in Leipzig, and their publication marks his retirement at the age of sixty-five in 1995. The articles range widely over the field of O.T. and related studies, and, although they have all been published before, the convenience of such collections has often been acknowledged, especially when, as here, a number of them appeared originally in relatively obscure journals and Festschriften. The usefulness of the volume is enhanced by the provision of indexes of authors and references cited.
