It is a seriously endangered language with 25-30 speakers in 2013. The Comanche Nation (about 15.000 members) is headquarterd in Lawton, Oklahoma. Formerly, Comancheria, the territory of the Comanche, included large portions of Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Kansas.
