Description

Chicago: Lituanus Foundation, Inc. In Lithuanian Quarterly Journal of Arts ans Sciences, Volume 27, No. 1 - Spring 1981. — 16 p.Very little material is presently available in Lithuanian within the framework of case grammar. An attempt has. been made to describe accurately the data available to me, but I make no claim that the analysis offered here is in any way complete. As more data are available, this analysis will have to be altered — although I hope that the basic assumptions are correct. The +[— Os,Os] frame, for example, is divided into three mutually exclusive subgroups (Class Membership, Identification, and Similarity), each with its own set of well-defined criteria. The breakdown suggested for the Class Membership and Identification categories, however, is only a guideline, since each of these two subgroups must contain some sentences which have two readings.
