Phonetic processes in the vowel systems of Dagur and Buryat languages.The article deals with the diachronic development in the vowel system of phonemes in Dagur and Buryat languages. The author states that the phenomenon under question should be regarded as a contact-induced, particularly with Dagur and some dialects of Buriat languages. At the same time one could not completely eliminate the possibility of genetically conditioned similarities in both languages.
