Documentation project. — University of Bremen, 2011. — 288 pp.- In which clausal environment do Urum speakers select a particular inflectional category? - What are the basic syntactic properties of Urum syntax? - What are the differences between the clause structure of Urum and other related languages?In order to answer these questions, the authors collected a sample of 803 sentences representing several grammatical categories and structures with four native speakers.The dataset contains the target sentence in English, the translation in Russian, the elicited sentences in Urum, and their wordby-word translations in English. In order to compare between Urum and Turkish, Efy Yordanoglu (University of Athens) provided a translation of the entire inventory in Standard Turkish. Likewise, Violeta Moisidi translated the inventory into Georgian, the other important contact language of Urum. The Urum data was collected in Tbilisi, October-November 2010.
