Description

The first in a series dedicated to Merovingian cemeteries in the southern and central Netherlands. The project aims to reinvigorate the study of Merovingian burial grounds and mortuary practices in the region, and to publish comprehensive accounts of cemeteries that were excavated in the past but have remained largely unpublished. This book presents the findings from the Merovingian cemetery at Bergeijk-Fazantlaan. The site has been analysed to a level that facilitates further scholarly research. It concludes with a detailed catalogue of the excavated contexts and associated finds.
