An Elementary Grammar of the Kannada Language is a book written with the linguistic perspective to understanding the language of the south Indian people who are referred as Kannadigas, the people who speak Kannada. This language is one among the many Dravidian languages that exist in South Asia. This Dravidian language is part of the bigger language family consisting of 4 dominant languages in South India, and further in North India by 4 minority languages, a couple in neighbouring country Nepal and a big Brahui family in Pakistan and Afghanistan. So Speaking this determines a better perspective in the linguistic sense to understanding culture through localization. One such need is met by this book which highlights an elementary level. This language Kannada as per the census of 2015 is held to be the fastest growing language in the internet from India after the IT boom in Bangalore since 2000. Kannada holds less similarity in speech with other neighbouring Dravidian languages but is by far more closer to Brahui. Besides this Kannada holds a classical language status on par with Sanskrit (although a great deal of loan words do exist in Kannada) and is the official state language of the state of Karnataka which regards at least its 60000000 population inhabiting it speaks Kannada.
