African filmmakers have been making documentary and feature films in Sub-Saharan Africa for over three decades, and this bibliography provides the most comprehensive list published to date on the African cinema and , African film producers. The volume includes almost 4,000 entries (many annotated) of books, I monographs and theses, articles, reviews and pamphlets, from the early 1960’s up to mid-1987.
