Between these three books is all the Japanese grammar you need to know for all the JLPT tests. Book 3 covers both JLPT4 and 3. Each grammar point (about 150 each book) has a heading, description, a few example sentences and then practice senstences (where yo mindlessly fill in the blanks) I recommend working though the books with a tutor, recording his/her voice as they say the sentences. Then at home shadow the sentences until you can say them at full speed and you can remember them. It takes about 15mins to do 1 or 2 grammar points this way. Which means, 3x 15min sessions a day will get you though each book in about 8 weeks, a considerly fast way to learn grammar. This method also makes learning vocabulary and kanji reading easier.
