The Newars of Nepal, is the contribution contributed by Professor Doctor Gopal Singh Nepali, a famous native sociologist of Nepal. This text is his PhD thesis submitted to the University of Bombay under the supervision of Dr. G.S Gurge professor of sociology. As the text it is reveals a wonderful combination of ethnographic data within theoretical frame of reference. It is the first Nepal’s ethnographic study which reveals the strong influence of structural functionalism.
