O fundamento, figura central do ser na filosofia ocidental, embora denunciado nas suas expressões onto-teo-lógicas e metafísicas, é retomado por Heidegger ao nível ontológico-hermenêutico, constituindo o suposto idealista e transcendental que impede o filósofo de aceder ao pensamento outro do que poeticamente se dá a pensar. The author conducts her analysis through the comparative confrontation of the most significant texts devoted to that theme - 'From the Essence of the Ground' (1925) and 'The Principle of Reason' (1957) - while noting in detail the rest of the published work by Heidegger.
