Year Book of Dermatology - 2019 fungal infections, is a compilation of some of the recent literature pertaining to various aspects of dermatophytoses. This year book comprised of 4 sections, which include epidemiological study, diagnostic study, management studies, and miscellaneous studies. Epidemiological studies include interdigital tinea pedis resulting from fusarium species, topical tavaborole in the treatment of onychomycosis, epidemiological survey of onychomycosis pathogens, epidemiological characteristics of tinea pedis in military etc. Diagnostic studies include development and evaluation of Indirect Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay, polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism as a confirmatory test, a simple but yet novel stain in the diagnosis of onychomycosis etc. Miscellaneous studies include tinea folliculorum complicating tinea of the glabrous skin, PRP8 Intein in dermatophytes, Majocchi's granuloma, tinea of vellus hair etc. The authors have skillfully written their analytical comments on the articles and the end of each one sees the key messages to the same. This makes an easy and interesting reading. This book serves as a useful study guide to all dermatologists.
