Technical Analysis from A to Z, 2nd Edition
Book information
Description
This book serves good as a reference to the numerous technical indicators that have been invented in the last years. All the indicators are described in their alphabetical order, so it's really easy to quickly look up some information on an indicator. Some drawbacks though. The explanations of the author are really short, so someone who is looking to learn how to use these different indicators is kind of left alone with this author his short talk. He also doesn't mention the different ways one can use these calculators. In my opinion, the author could have easily done this, once one is going through all the work of summing these different indicators. Also, the author could have just as well included the MS Excel code for these indicators. I was able to put most of these indicators together in excel for myself, but I think he could have also offered this information for free. Perry Kaufman, for example, did this in several of his books. I'm not really sure if I would by this book again if I were looking for a reference book on technical indicators. I would certainly advise interested buyers to also get a look at Robert Colby his book on indicators. It looks much more expansive than this book of Achelis on indicators. I haven't read that book myself, so I cannot judge which one is best.
