The changes, both in ancient manuscripts usually labeled "Alexandrian" and in modern translations, really matter. Unlike what my Bible college and seminary professors said, these differences change doctrines. God says we must not add to nor take away from His words (Deut. 4:2; 12:32; Prov. 30:5-6; Jer. 26:2; Rev. 22:18-19). This book focuses on doctrines that are changed merely by taking away from God's preserved words.
