The Treatment of Cats by Homeopathy
Book information
Description
First published 1960 as "The Homoeopathic Treatment of Cats"; 2nd edition with illustrations 1979, reprinted 1984. About this book... Homoeopathic remedies are ideal for treating sick cats. The medicines are pleasant to take, they can be safely given to the smallest kitten without distressing the animal, and no injections are necessary. Furthermore, there are no side-effects. Yet another advantage in treating cats by homoeopathy is that the pet's owner can do something to give relief when a veterinary surgeon is not available, for instance, arnica can be given for shock in case of injuries. K. Sheppard lists a number of feline complaints, with symptoms, and the corresponding homoeopathic treatments. She also provides details of homoeopathic medicines for administrat- ion to cats before and after neutering and spaying operations. In addition, there are useful hints on house training, grooming, and eye care. The veterinary aspect of homoeopathy has received scant attention in the past, but these remedies are just as effective in animals as they are in humans.
