Volume I summarizes evidence concerning 128 erebid moth species currently recorded in Israel, illustrated in live size on 12 color plates. In addition, the distribution of each species in the country is mapped. The book is richly illustrated with color photos on another 36 plates, representing a wide range of major habitat types of Israel. The book is an imminent tool for specialists in butterflies and moths, being topical also for nature conservationists and biogeographers, collectors and nature lovers. It may as well serve as a guide for anyone interested in the nature of Israel, as well as of the Near East in general.
