International Series 1806). — Oxford, 2008. — pp. 57-74.The systematic survey carried out for the project of the “Archaeological Map of the Murghab Delta” considerably increased our knowledge of the peopling of the area over the entire period from the Middle Bronze Age to the Islamic period. As a result, we were able to correct and redefine the picture that had been obtained on the basis of the early pioneering explorations of the nineteen-fifties and seventies.
