The volume is suited with over 550 color photographs, detailed maps for each district which the author has cleverly weaved with a thread of information for each of monument giving throughout description of the architectural features which attribute it to the specific period and style such as: Ancient, Low and High Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, Modern, and Contemporary. Each period has color identifiers in order to make them easy to locate on the maps.
