Personality and Intellectual Competence
Book information
Description
Chamorro-Premuzic (Goldsmith U. of London) and Furnham (U. College London) review the literature on personality and intelligence research over the past century, looking not only at the independent theoretical and empirical developments of both constructs, but also at the psychometric interface between personality traits and cognitive ability measure. They argue that this interface, though attracting much attention by psychologists over the past five years, is only one level of integration between cognitive and non-cognitive traits, other important ones being academic performance and self-assessed or subjectively assessed ability.
