Description

Amrita strived to present through her works an interpretation of life itself. She wanted to reveal through her style of art the very depth of human nature. She wanted to communicate her own consciousness of beauty so that it should become universal. Besides harmonious colouring and composition, she ever wanted to achieve sincerity -- that is, she wanted her art to reflect in outline the experiences and phases of life which she herself had undergone.
