Semiclassical solution of the WDW equations and unitarity
Book information
Description
The general semiclassical solution of the Wheeler-DeWitt equations is obtained. It is shown to coincide with the path integral over true physical variables, computed in the one-loop approximation. By direct computation the recently proposed probability measure is demonstrated to conserve the total probability. Thus unitarity in quantum cosmology is argued to be an exact concept which can be extended to higher orders of a semiclassical expansion.
