O Brasil é o único país que fala português no continente americano. A história do seu povoamento e colonização é fascinante. Espanhóis, holandeses, franceses e ingleses, entre outros, disputaram seu território com os portugueses e com os nativos. Os africanos vieram para cá do século XVI em diante. Durante o século XIX e o XX muitas outras levas de imigrantes europeus e asiáticos chegaram, para completar este "melting pot" continental. A historia deste país levou a um contexto peculiar, caracterizado por um equilíbrio entre renovação e permanência. Com referência aos motivos egípcios sua permanência foi estimulada pela instrução e o ensino de História antiga e a renovação através das dinâmicas variações na apropriação dos elementos egípcios para diferentes objetivos em um processo contínuo de transculturação.Brazil is the only Portuguese-speaking country in the American Continent. The history of Brazil's population and colonization is fascinating. Spaniards, Dutchmen, Frenchmen and Englishmen, among others, disputed it's territory against the Portuguese and the indigenous people. African people came to Brazil from the XVIth Century onwards. During the XIXth and XXth Centuries many other waves of European and Asian immigrants arrived, to complete this continental melting pot. The history of this country led to a peculiar context, characterized by an equilibrium between renovation and permanence. Regarding the egiptian motives, it's permanence was stimulated by instruction and teaching of Ancient History, and by the dynamic variations in the appropriation of egiptian elements for different objectives, in a continuous process of transculturation.
