The National Gallery of Prague has prepared a truly extraordinary exhibition called Rembrandt. Portrait of a Man, in honour of the 350th anniversary of the death of Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn. The exhibition centres on the portrait of A Scholar in His Study from the Gallery’s collection, which Rembrandt painted during the Dutch Golden Age. This was a period of great success for the artist, in personal as well as professional terms.
