Description

This is the third edition of the classic on Prolog program- ming. New material has been added to Chapter 3 to give an account of up-to-date programming techniques using accumu- lators and difference structures. Chapter 8 contains some new information on syntax errors. Operator precedences are now compatible with the most widely-used implementations. Furthermore, the presentation has been reorganized and im- proved, and a number of minor errors have been corrected.
