This book presents theoretical and epistemological issues of the Education Policy field, developed for researchers of the Relepe - Network of Theoretical and Epistemological Studies on Education Policy. This research network was created in 2010, initially with researchers from Latin America, aiming at joing researchers interested in theoretical and epistemological issues of the research on Education Policy. The book explores the following aspects: - The three elements of the focus of epistemological studies on Education Policy: epistemological perspective, epistemological positioning, and epistemethodological approach; - Levels of approach and abstraction in the research on Education Policy (description, analysis and understanding); - Meta-research on the field of Education Policy; - The constitution of the academic field of Education Policy in Brazil; - Aspects of the research training in Education Policy.
