Description

I read this book for being quoted in many sites. The author explains the current growing technology pursuit and then connects its evolving into a network of system - which he terms as globalization. Author also makes up his own terms like " Electronic Herd" which makes the reading very gripping and holding. But the book is able to explain globalization only as perceived by/through his eyes. The book is good for those readers whoere trying to understand how technology is shaping markets. The author blatantly proclaims that such systems are (now) uncontrollable & run under the rules which are impossible to predict, and its motives are mere evolution and making were something that was never planned from the start. I liked the book for the reason it shows a glimpse on how technology is shaping markets in the current era - however, to truly understand about the history & science behind globalization - Bad Smaritians by Ha-Joon Chang is an eye opener if the reader is keen to understand the real principles backing up the secrets and needs for globalization by rich countries.
