This research report analyzes crime, criminal justice, and criminology in post-Soviet Ukraine. Its purpose is to introduce U.S. criminologists, criminal justice researchers, and other observers to the state of crime and justice in Ukraine. As part of the National Institute of Justice sponsored series, "Issues in International Crime," this report's goal is to stimulate and facilitate research on international crime and justice issues and to disseminate the results of that research to policymakers at all levels.
