This book sets out the framework for a process for building information management that enables greater productivity, risk management, improved margins and sustainability. It also explains how BS 1192, when used correctly, can form a good basis. The process is described step by step with key aspects highlighted and is applicable to every size of project and practice. The three specific areas addressed in the production information process are: roles and responsibilities; the Common Data Environment (CDE); and the Standard Method and Procedure (SMP). A move from a document-centric to an information-centric environment is enabled, thereby unlocking the power of technology.
