I know someone who got a call from a food bank in a farming area. They were giving away 30k lbs. of chicken and 40k lbs. of watermelons! Calling a grocery store chain asking why they don't buy it, they said their (centralized) inventory system (a.k.a. Hence the Old Law, in order to remove this danger, ordered things in such a way that while provision was made for men's needs, by allowing the sale of possessions to avail for a certain period [jubilee every 50 years], at the same time the said danger was removed, by prescribing the return of those possessions after that period had elapsed.
