Description

This is an excellent introduction to Differential and especially integral equations for physicists especially those than plan on going on to graduate school for physics. This book covers a material not covered in any other textbook at this undergrad/grad level. Very easy to follow and understand and the font and layout makes for an easy read, with lots of easy to follow examples and exercises. Can be used as an alternative to Arfken and Webber, although it does not cover as much material. The integral equation part can be skipped, since most undergraduates might not need this portion until graduate school. Can be followed with Sadri Hassanis larger (1100 page) "Mathematical Physics" for the move abstract concepts.
