The book is divided into two parts: Part One consists of three chapters that introduces “historical Jesus research in general and the work of the Jesus Seminar in particular.” Part Two provides a three lines of defense: defense of the methodology of the Jesus Seminar; critique of Luke Timothy Johnson's "The Real Jesus" and Ben Witherington's "The Jesus Quest"; and finally a discussion of Christian apologetic writings and its limitations.
