In 2036 Azriel Markov's life changes forever. His Uncle Ephraim takes the boy under his wing and sends him off to school. Meanwhile Azriel is under close surveillance there. Eventually he's literally taken against his own will to Israel's central intelligence agency, Mossad, upon his uncle's request. At Mossad the fourteen year old Israeli teenager has his memories reversed by a surgery with an end goal of turning him against his own biological father who happens to be a veteran agency operative. While the plotting Uncle Ephraim wreaks havoc against the Markov family in Israel, Azriel's father Seth is on the mission of his life in Berlin. Before everything in Berlin takes place he teams up with a frequent mission buddy of his along with the man who originally recruited him into Mossad ten years prior.
