Pulak Dutta is former teacher of Kala Bhavana, a school of fine arts in Visva Bharati, Santiniketan. Before coming to Kala Bhavana, for a long time, he also taught at Patha Bhavana, Santiniketan and The Valley School, KFI in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Mr. Dutta is a learned scholar and regularly writes on fields like education, music, fine arts, culture and society. This article by him is an essay around the idea of Santiniketan which he has later developed in a book in 2015.
