Inner Alchemy: Energy Work and the Magic of the Body
Book information
Description
As the Headmaster of an Institute of Alchemical Mastery as well an Institute of Energy Medicine, I was really anticipating that this book would be great. Upon reading it, I found the first couple of chapters to be quite elementary - very well suited for beginners. Although, I must say that Taylor provides some great perspectives on using the senses and becoming aware of the body and how to use it. I think this book is best directed towards those who practice either the Craft or the Great Work who still don't have a well developed sense of their Physical Bodies or how to use them. From my perspective, a lot of people who practice Magickal practices are overweight & unhealthy. It seems like there are many who feel that by practicing Spiritual Work, the physical work is completely diminished. Taylor emphasizes this in the book as well, and by reading the book and performing the exercises, it will offer you the opportunity to reconnect with your Body again and begin to experience it in a new light, helping you achieve an integrated balance of all the Bodies. Even with that, it wasn't all I hoped it to be. Highly Recommended for new practitioners and practitioners who don't have a strong connection with their physical bodies.
