This book is intended as a textbook for the senior-level introductory course in hydraulic engineering required in most civil engineering curricula, but is appropriate for agricultural engineering students and others interested in the subject of hydraulics. This text provides comprehensive treatment of hydraulic engineering in both closed conduit and open channel flow, with examples and problems. The carefully organized coverage, beginning with basics of hydrology, pipelines, and open channels includes both hydrologic background and traditional hydraulics. This is a good balance of theory and applications and extensive appendices, including selected computer programs, round out the text.
