This book is a guide to reading Persian diplomatic documents written in highly cursive script from the pre-modern period. The book contains 101 official documents and letters in Persian, with transcription in printed Arabic, translation into German, and reasonably high-quality facsimiles at the end of the book. The documents range from 1396 to 1702 (in Hijri from 798 to 1113. "Diese Publikation umfaßt 101 offizielle Dokumente und Briefe in persischer Sprache, wiedergegeben in arabischer Schrift, Übersetzung und Faksimile. Nach unserer Zeitrechnung stammt das älteste Stück aus dem Jahre 1396, das jüngste aus dem Jahre 1701/1702 (nach der islamischen Zeitrechnung 798 bzw. 1113)."
