Description

Most strategic plans are never fulfilled. Executives and managers take pride in putting together well thought out proposals for action that are passed on to the organization and then forgotten. The book sets out a new framework for understanding the dynamics of the marketplace and the need to respond strategically through implementation. It asks the manager to examine her/his position within the new strategic framework and then shows how to reposition the organization by making it entrepreneurially responsible for achieving the strategic goals. It starts out by asking them where are they now? It then asks where do they want to go and then tells them how to get there. The book is aimed at the manager who is looking to make his/her company more competitive in the new economy. It is aimed at the broad managerial spectrum but also is current for student and academic alike who seriously want to improve their understanding of strategy in the organization
