Description

I am a philosophy student at Temple University, I came across this book at my school's library by accident and decided to read it. I was pleasantly surprised to find a concise and very well written philosophic account of various paths towards finding meaning in one's life and how 9 of these paths, or ways of thinking, are mistaken and should be re-evaluated. The author is well versed in philosophy and writes like a top-notch philosophy professor.

I believe this book should be read by most people, if not only to get a brief overview of the issues involved in extracting meaning from life so as to begin their own journey towards personal meaning. This would be a great gift to someone who is apt towards questioning philosophic concepts. It is not necessarily an "easy" read for the layperson, but for those of you who can stick with it I believe you will benefit greatly from doing so.

Wadsworth is a great publisher with a whole series starting with "on", from "On Jung" to "On Gurdjieff" and "On Hume".
