Description

A process of learning implies a progression towards improved functioning in life. Movement is an integral component of functioning. The Feldenkrais Method approaches learning directly through movement. Followers of the method are in danger however, of believing that it is only about movement and that the learning that results is an antidote to life rather than an understanding of it. Commonly overlooked or not understood is the possibility to learn from every experience in life and that through the method we can learn how to learn. The author believes that it is important to clearly define the process of learning itself and what it involves when practicing the method. He discusses, perhaps unconventionally, what self-discovery, growth and the method mean to him.
