This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-proceedings of the First International Workshop on Topic Map Research and Applications, TMRA 2005, held in Leipzig, Germany in October 2005. The 17 revised full papers and 5 revised short papers presented together with 1 invited lecture were carefully selected during two rounds of reviewing and improvement from more than 35 submissions.
