Unless otherwise slated, all the photographs were taken by Simon Dunstan during the summer of 1995. They depict many of the diverse tasks undertaken by The Household Division, culminating in Trooping the Colour, a military spectacle unsurpassed in the world which is held annually in honour of the Sovereign's Birthday. None of these images would have been possible without the kind permission of the Major General Commanding The Household Division, and the assistance given to me by Guardsmen of every rank: all received me with interest and good humour. Be it at the dining table of the splendid Officers' Mess at The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment or sharing a beefburger in the back of a jolting Warrior, the hospitality extended to me has been of the highest order.
