The term of affect has gained amazing popularity in the humanities and social sciences in recent years. Christian Helge Peters significantly expands the Affect Studies with a social theoretical perspective by turning to the social of affect following works by Gilles Deleuze and Brian Massumi. Starting from the concept of modulation and a new conception of Deleuzeschen process ontology, the social is understood as affect modulation.
