Description

The present study is intended to indicate the materials which constitute the body of the Platonic tradition in the Middle Ages and to show the main lines in which this tradition developed. It should thus serve as the framework for a history of mediaeval Platonism and its bearing on the philosophy of the Renaissance. This larger work requires a collection of the relevant texts in a ‘Corpus Platonicum Medii Aevi’ which would make clear an important and rather neglected link in the history of thought.
