The manual considers the fundamentals of the combustion theory and chemical kinetics of combustion reactions. The manual presents the theory of chain reactions, as well as the theory of thermal ignition (stationary, nonstationary). The normal combustion of laminar flames, the similarity of the distribution of temperature and concentrations in a flame, the formula for the normal velocity of flame propagation, the diffusion-thermal instability of a flame are described. The manual is primarily intended for students of the Department of Thermophysics, but can also be useful for master course students, PhD and doctoral students. Published in authorial release.
