This book began as a series of notes on Latin syntax drafted at the request of Professor W. H. Semple of Manchester for the purpose of standardizing the teaching to the numerous sections of the then large Intermediate Class. These notes have been supplemented by sections of more advanced discussion drawn from lectures on historical Latin syntax to Honours classes.
