Overview: This book is about a small eclectic group of birds in Antarctica - two penguins, a skua, half a dozen petrels. More importantly it is about the scientists who have researched their lives over the past 65 years, since in fact when Antarctic ornithology really began in the late 1950s. Although it is about the Ross Sea birds, it has had to extend its scope to research throughout Antarctica by a large group of scientists.
