Description

Basic information about physical and chemical processes in the technosphere is presented. An idea of the processes of transformation of man-made and anthropogenic pollutants in the atmosphere, hydrosphere and pedosphere (the Earth's soil envelope) is given. The physicochemical mechanisms of the greenhouse effect, ozone layer destruction, photochemical smog formation, acid rain formation, and heavy metal pollution of the technosphere are considered. Basic information on radiation and chemical processes in the technosphere and on the interaction of ionizing radiation with its components is presented.
