From the preface: «At the end of 2020, in conjunction with the planned performance of the Mystery Dramas, I had wanted to cover in lecture form at the Goetheanum a number of aspects outlined in the action of the dramas as a whole, and in particular the connection of the Mystery Dramas with the task of the Anthroposophical Society⁸ and about the encounter with Ahriman. However, the events had to be cancelled in the short term due to the corona crisis, or could only be partially shown in virtual format. I, therefore, committed to writing what I had wanted to speak about, and this is now before you because it belongs to the thematic context of the developments of 1920 as elaborated above,⁹ and because the spiritual drama outlined there has today, in my opinion, lost none of its significance—on the contrary.»
