Conquering Worry and Fear: God's Answer to Worry Is God Himself
Book information
Description
Can God be trusted? That is the real question behind many of our worries and fears. Of course, "bad" does happen! Dreams crumble. Health fails. Finances collapse. Relationships disappoint. Pandemics strike, and more! If often feels as though we are justified in our worry. But are we? God is not silent on this topic. He does not desire that His children live in a state of fear and apprehension. Neither does He call us to simply "gut it out," or "think happy thoughts," denying the reality of our circumstances. Instead, God calls us to trust Him, even when the path ahead looks troublesome. Conquering Worry and Fear is a 10-lesson Bible study exploring how God would have us deal with worry and grow our trust in Him. The study examines God's words to and through David, Paul, Joshua, Elisha, Peter, Jonah, Hezekiah and Jesus, highlighting 10 ways to lean into God during challenging times. By recalling God's goodness, presence, provision, purposes, compassion and sufficiency, we learn that God walks with us in the midst of ALL our circumstances, even the nasty ones! He is always working for His glory and for our good. By remembering whose we are (God's), we find grace, peace and rest in God. He is the answer to our worries and fears. The Conquering Worry and Fear study also features a brief Leaders Appendix to assist those leading small groups.
