*Convivio* 2.13.30: > [L’Astrologia] è altissima di tutte l’altre; però che, sì come dice Aristotile nel cominciamento dell’Anima, la scienza è alta di nobilitade per la nobilitade del suo subietto e per la sua certezza; e questa più che alcuna delle sopra dette è nobile e alta per nobile e alto subietto, ch’è dello movimento del cielo; e alta e nobile per la sua certezza, la quale è sanza ogni difetto, sì come quella che da perfettissimo e regolatissimo principio viene. > > [Astronomy] is higher than all the other [(natural) sciences]; because, as as Aristotle says [in the beginning of *On the Soul*](https://isidore.co/aquinas/DeAnima.htm#11), science is high with nobility by the nobility of its subject and by its certitude; and this [science] more than any of the aforementioned is noble and lofty by its noble and high subject-matter, which is on the movement of the heavens; and high and noble by its certitude, which is without any defect, as that which comes from a most perfect and most ruling principle.
